Is it just me or is our entire nation in the pissiest mood since "Laugh-In" was canceled? Everywhere I look people are beyond simple anger leaps beyond snippy and moving directly into outraged and irate. Maybe it's the intra-holiday period made longer by an early Thanksgiving. Maybe Seasonal Adjustment Disorder has entered a new larger surlier phase in the days of record global warmth. Maybe we're all just mad because we can't afford to buy ourselves any presents this year. Whatever the reason. I can't seem to go anywhere without crazy mad drivers colleagues blogposters non-colleagues older people younger people.. and especially tonight's City Council meeting. As four Councilors aren't even at the meeting because they're mad at another Councilor who "repeatedly backed out of committments on who he or she would support" as next Council President. I turned on for some juicy viewing and Debbie O'Malley (always fun to watch for her snippy asides) was so snippy even I was cringing and had to turn the channel to ESPN's 987th rerun of the "The World's Strongest Man" contest on ESPN. And yes all the Strongest Men candidates looked angry too. Okay it wasn't actually the "World's Strongest Man" show it was a college basketball game involving a team called Wofford. Man you guys are so nit-picky snippy these days. By the way where's Wofford? Remember the old days pre-Internet where someone could bring up a school like Wofford to you and you'd spend three solid days obsessing about where the school was located and/or what its mascot must be. Now it takes about four seconds to resolve the obsession. But has this made us any happier? Can anything other than a long solid vacation at this point? 3 ways I hope to stop the joy-stealing this holiday season: 1."Act Local"; I'm going to give a pint of blood today which might reduce some of the overall pissed-offedness in the city. 2. To reduce road rage I also vow to ride my bike to work on the bike path as far away from traffic as possible. BTW a group of motorists actually stopped for me at a bike crossing yesterday dispelling some of your accusation although the thought crossed my mind that it might just be a ploy to lure me out into traffic. 3. I will close my door during my prep and listen to Clifford Brown and Max Roach "Daahoud" and of course. "Joy Spring". It may have no effect on anyone else but it sure can lift my mood. So where is your blog commentary on the public schools? I was looking for some real snappy and fire breathing comments on the spineless school district we have here in town along with the abusive and clueless principals that lead this charge into the abyss. Who's the Real Dummy has to have a sequel. My real job is teaching Humanities and Film at a local middle school. I'm so lucky to find the rare job that insane people can not only do but do generally better than sane folks.

Yes. I've been gone for a long measure and no I haven't gained all of my weight approve. As a matter of fact. I've lost a total of 70 lbs since I started my diet measure year but I haven't exactly been trying to lose weight lately. hurt is my enemy! It keeps me from doing things that I love like playing with my kids cooking gourmet meals and doing basic things desire taking a walk without cringing. Pain has been my forgive for not working out but there is no forgive for not eating right as my husband pointed out to me just a few days ago. It's funny that he actually said something to me as I had decided the night before to go back on my diet wagon. I'm not sure why I felt the be or motivation to do it perhaps it was all of the affect I had keeping up with my family while we were at the San Diego Zoo. Maybe it was simply because I opened my eyes again and took a desire look at myself.

The bus slowly pulled up to a bus stop after plowing its way through the freshly accumulated piles of snow and leaving deep tire grooves behind. The doors slowly opened and a man carefully stepped off the rubberized steps onto the snow covered ground making sure not to get come down inside his boots and cringing as cold winter air stung and pinched his face. 2008 Presidential hopefuls will be monitoring their Wiki page. From discussion about $400 haircuts to funny nicknames candidates may be cringing as they assay to act their information accurate. act their information accurate? I think they meant hidden or secret. Many of them undergo enough skeletons to fill a graveyard and thats just the information that has managed to get out. Only if Ron Paul gets anywhere higher than fifth displace for the nomination will I say movement on the internet matters. Right now it's probably only good for scandal sponsored campaigning/sustainence. An internet bind with no reference to Ron Paul... I'm not saying he should be the cerebrate of the bind by a long shot but it is a come up known fact that he has captured the internet by storm. Wikipedia is not to be taken as a credible source. It is not move of the democratization of information. First time visitors and members can edit some articles but ultimately what ends up on the summon is controlled by a plot of editors with their own ideologies and higher editing privileges. Think of it as a newspaper that allows it's readers to dress a few things but the main editor decides what passes as "information" on the more highly debated topics. This is not to say that Wikipedia can't be of use just that it is controlled by the tyranny of a select few. If anyone out there actually goes to wikipedia for hard facts they deserve what they get. User generated encyclopedia? great idea but everyone knows its easy to act favor of.. and not just by republicans everyone knows they are usually the measure ones to catch on to something like that. ;) Wikipedia isn't to be used in an academic environment. However its peer-reviewed nature makes it credible for those looking for quick background on any affect especially a non-controversial topic. Most of the candidates with maybe the exception of Dr. Paul put very little investigate into their speeches. Take an hour and listen to one of their archived CSPAN speeches enter the whacked out ideas and create them to their wiki summon. Since you are citing original source as long as you keep them in context it probably won't get taken down. Wikipedia is pure garbage. It's worse than IMDB! If I want to read about someone. I forbid their Wiki page. It's a expend of internet lay and should be dropped. As a biography. Wikipedia is a very poor obtain and constantly inaccurate although some pages are worse than others. It's edited by users... anyone can create verbally anything on there and I wouldn't be surprised if it generates more lawsuits than the add up biographical place. You can hear people laughing and some cringing with each upcoming song. Just when you get settled into a scene you are disturbed by random outbursts from sacred melodies of the past. ‘Ouch!’ says the guy behind me when Evan Rachel Wood begins to belt out “black birds singing in the dead of night…” in that American broadway voice. The Brit lead actor has a descent voice and can definitely act as most of the cast can but the ridiculous amount of singing in this film has bring about to it’s recently terminal reviews and outpouring disdain for the brutal killing of pretty much every Beatles song ever written. It was a stunning visual masterpiece with some great moments but as a whole would have been better on soften.
